The West Ham vs Liverpool Premier League clash is an eagerly anticipated one, with Jurgen Klopp’s side in the hunt for the title and David Moyes‘ men still harbouring ambitions of a top seven finish.

Liverpool are obviously an exceptional side, and the Hammers will need to be on their very best form if we are to get a result against them.

Moyes is under real pressure right now following Sunday’s 5-2 defeat to Crystal Palace, and he admitted after that he’ll have no problem if he’s told to leave the club.

However, I don’t expect him to leave before the end of the season, and with the huge game against Liverpool now just three days away, the Scot will be demanding a big response from his players. Ahead of the match, some news has emerged that the Liverpool fans definitely won’t be too pleased about…Premier League announcement ahead of West Ham vs Liverpool clash

The Hammers desperately need all three points on Saturday, as do the Reds of course.

The Merseyside outfit will undoubtedly already be angry that they’re scheduled to play at 12:30 on Saturday, after playing Everton at Goodsion Park tonight at 8pm.That said, Klopp has a massive squad at his disposal, full of top quality players.

He would be able to field two teams able of competing for the top four in the Premier League. However, the German and the Liverpool fans will not be happy one little bit with an an official announcement that has been made ahead of the match…

The Premier League have confirmed via their official website that Anthony Taylor will take charge of the clash at the London Stadium on Saturday.

Liverpool fans have protested against Taylor refereeing their games on numerous occasions in the past, most recently earlier this month for their clash with Manchester United (Daily Mail).

The Reds fans disdain for the 45-year-old refereeing their games stems from the fact that he is from the Greater Manchester area.

However, contrary to popular belief, Taylor is actually a fan of National League side Altrincham, rather than Manchester United or Manchester City, and has held a season ticket with them for many years.

Taylor has refereed more Liverpool games than any other club – 59. The Reds have lost 10 of those matches.Meanwhile, the Hammers have won 15, drawn five and lost 15 of the 35 games Taylor has refereed for us (Transfermarkt).

Liverpool fans won’t be happy one little bit that Anthony Taylor will be the man in the middle for the clash with West Ham on Saturday. Let’s just hope that they’re even more unhappy when the full-time whistle blows.
