Leicester City may be forced to sell three homegrown players this summer despite gaining automatic promotion to the Premier League.Leicester have a rich history of producing talent from their academy, with Gary Lineker and Emile Heskey notable examples.Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall is carrying that torch at the moment, having polished his skillset at Belvoir Drive and Seagrave.The 25-year-old has been City’s talisman this term, netting 12 times whilst laying on 15 assists, which is a phenomenal return for a forward let alone a midfielder.With that said, though, the club may be forced to sell some of their academy graduates this summer, as a fresh report emerges.Leicester City may have to sell three homegrown playersAccording to the Daily Mail, Dewsbury-Hall is the most likely Leicester player to leave this summer, as his sale would help to balance the books to keep in line with Profit and Sustainability regulations.Given he’s homegrown, his sale would be pure profit, with a £30m price tag mooted amidst interest from Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham and Brentford.Hamza Choudhury, Ben Nelson and Sammy Braybrooke could also be moved on to help stay in line with financial rules.It’s set to be a busy summer at King Power Stadium, with multiple players expected to depart.Leicester City simply have to keep Sammy BraybrookeLeicester cannot afford to lose Braybrooke this summer.The 20-year-old midfielder is one of the brightest players the academy has produced in years and had it not been for his serious knee injury at the start of 2023, which he’s only just coming back from, he’d likely be a mainstay in Enzo Maresca‘s squad.Braybrooke has been capped at youth level by England’s under-19s and even captained them wins against Montenegro and Georgia.He is of a similar profile to Harry Winks and could be a vital member of the squad next term, helping to share the load with the former Tottenham Hotspur man.City, at all costs, have to keep Braybrooke at Seagrave this summer, or else they could be left to rue their decision massively.In a couple of years, his value could multiply tenfold, too.
