Julen Lopetegui is expected to employ a 4-3-3 system at West Ham United if he replaces David Moyes – a move which should get the best out of Mohammed Kudus.
Moyes’ departure at the end of the season was officially announced by West Ham on 6 May, with reports surfacing that an agreement has been reached for Lopetegui to succeed him.
Kudus has enjoyed a strong debut season in England but the report on 8 May suggests that the tactical changes likely to be implemented by Lopetegui could see both the Ghanaian and the Hammers’ stable of midfielders kick on next term.

He earned Moyes’ trust quickly – his first six Premier League appearances were off the bench but he has started in every game he has featured in since, becoming part of the Scot’s trusted core. Nine players played at least 3,000 minutes across all competitions, including the Ghanaian.
However, Kudus’ obvious talent – and the fact that he is still just 23 – suggests there is still room for the versatile forward to improve further. Playing as part of a side that looks to control games more under Lopetegui could suit Kudus well as he looks to further enhance his reputation in London
