West Ham United will not sell Jarrod Bowen this summer amid transfer interest from Newcastle United, according to CaughtOffside.

The outlet reported on its website Saturday (25 May) that the Magpies are seriously interested in signing the England international, but sources close to the Hammers insist that he will be allowed to leave when the window opens.

Even if the Irons were open to offers, Newcastle’s current financial fair play position would make it incredibly hard for Eddie Howe’s side to meet the Irons’ asking price which is expected to be upwards of £100million.

West Ham’s reluctance to do business over a potential exit for Bowen means that Newcastle are likely to turn their attention to other potential targets.

Will West Ham United sell Jarrod Bowen to Newcastle United in the summer transfer window? It was always going to be unlikely that the Hammers would let Newcastle swoop in and prize Bowen away from them without some resistance and it is clear they are not willing to let him leave under any circumstances.

The whole point of appointing Julen Lopetegui in place of David Moyes was so that the Irons could continue to progress and develop as a side and that simply won’t be possible if they continue to sell their best players.

It seems unlikely Lucas Paqueta will be getting his move to Manchester City after he was hit with alleged charges of spot-fixing by the FA and the Hammers will do everything they can to keep Mohammed Kudus in place for the foreseeable future.

With the right additions, Lopetegui may be able to build a squad more than capable of qualifying for Europe once again. Given how his time ended at Wolves, he won’t be willing to lose his best players season after season.

Hopefully, Newcastle will take the hint and park their interest in Bowen for the remainder of the summer as it doesn’t appear that he will be going anywhere.
