The Friedkin Group look set to complete an Everton takeover at Goodison ParkAfter the 777 Partners takeover saga, supporters will know better than to get ahead of themselves when it comes to takeover developments.

Even after the American investment firm had signed an exclusivity agreement at Goodison Park their prospective takeover still collapsed.

As a result, it would be unfair to blame any fans who won’t be popping open the champagne bottles until the takeover has been made official. However, for those less wary supporters, they can certainly start to celebrate.

It is hard to see anything disrupting this takeover process now and it looks as if supporters can finally start to look forward to a brighter future at Everton. While 777 were littered with reg flags, none have appeared so far in relation to the Friedkin Group.

According to Alan Myers (20 June), approval from the Premier League, FA and Financial Conduct Authority is not expected to be an issue. Therefore, supporters might not have to wait too much longer for a takeover to be made official.
