West Ham United are keen to keep hold of Mohammed Kudus this summer amid interest from Saudi Arabia in order to keep Julen Lopetegui happy.
The outlet has reported (21 June) that top-ranking officials are keen to ensure the new head coach is “not rattled” during the summer transfer window.
Al-Ittihad of the Saudi Pro League have been linked with a move for Kudus [ESPN, 20 June], who only moved to the London Stadium last summer.
The club is aware that he walked out of Wolverhampton Wanderers 10 months ago after not being given the chance to build his own squad.
Luckily for Lopetegui, the same report claims Kudus has “very little interest” in a move to Saudi Arabia this summer.

Kudus was a top signing last summer and he certainly caught the imagination of the Hammers fans in his debut campaign.
The Ghana international is one of the club’s most important players now after forming a great partnership with Jarrod Bowen and Lucas Paqueta in the final third.
With the latter being embroiled in plenty of controversy regarding betting allegations, he may be banned next season at some point.
As a result, the Hammers need to keep hold of their other key stars if they are to have a successful season under Lopetegui.
Tim Steidten has already brought in Luis Guilherme this summer so there are some reinforcements coming in for attacking areas.
If a bid came in from Saudi Arabia, given the size the bid is likely to be, it may test the West Ham hierarchy’s resolve this summer.
It will come down to many factors but really, Kudus should not be sold under any circumstance this summer.
