Everton’s former chief Keith Wyness has suggested that a £60 million offer for Richarlison would be “too good to turn down” for Tottenham Hotspur. Speaking on the latest episode of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, Wyness, who served as CEO at Goodison Park from 2004 to 2009 and now runs a consultancy advising elite football clubs, expressed his belief that the 27-year-old forward “hasn’t settled with Spurs.”
Richarlison, who joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 for a reported £60 million, has struggled to secure a consistent starting spot for the North London club. Despite improving his performance last season with 12 goals and four assists in 31 games, his first campaign was underwhelming, yielding just three goals.
Amid ongoing transfer rumors, the Brazilian international has been linked with a potential move to the Saudi Pro League. Reports from Al-Riyadiyah on July 22 indicate that Al-Ahli are closely monitoring his situation. Additionally, Football Insider revealed in May that Tottenham are keen to recoup the fee they paid for Richarlison if he is sold this summer.
Wyness remarked, “I think that sum of money is too good to turn down. I don’t know if that will be the actual bid, it could well be very structured. But at £60 million, I would be selling him all day. He hasn’t settled with Spurs. He’s Brazil’s number nine, and I think he would do well in the Saudi market. If the structure is right on this deal, I think he should be going from Tottenham this summer.”
