Jonathan Rowe is heading out of Norwich City after pulling out of his side’s 2-0 loss to Oxford United and The Canaries have made a move to sign a winger Leeds have bid for, as a replacement.

Rowe, 21, scored 12 goals in The Championship last season and that has attracted plenty of suitors. The England U21 international has attracted Leeds, with The Whites said to have tabled a £7m fee for Rowe.

But Norwich a whole lot more than that to sell Rowe and now, Marseille are said to have made a move to lure Rowe to France. In reaction to that, Rowe was not picked for Saturday’s defeat to Oxford United.

It seems as if the versatile ace will be leaving Norwich but it feels as if he will be off to France with Ligue 1 side Marseille, under Roberto De Zerbi. Certainly, Leeds themselves are looking at other possible targets.

Norwich make late move for player after £15m Leeds bid rejected
Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is a name that has been linked with the majority of the Championship’s biggest clubs. The Crystal Palace winger is allowed to go on loan, with Palace are keen to keep him on their books.

Southampton have made £7m and £12m offers for Rak-Sakyi, but both were turned down as Palace prefer to send him on loan. Then, on Sunday, it was said Leeds made a massive £15m bid for Rak-Sakyi.

That has also been rejected with Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United set to land the Palace ace. Now, South London Press reporter Edmund Brack says Norwich have made a late bid for Rak-Sakyi, to replace Rowe.

Norwich made a late attempt to sign Rak-Sakyi after Rowe pulled out of their matchday squad yesterday vs Oxford. Leeds made a permanent enquiry, which was knocked back. Burnley stepped up their interest.

Back to square one for Leeds United in replacing £25m man
The departure of Crysencio Summerville means Leeds are actively looking for a replacement. A bid for Rowe now looks set to pass, with Marseille leading the race for the Carrow Road academy product.

Then, second-choice Rak Sakyi is on his way to Sheffield United less Norwich can tempt him. A move to Leeds is unlikely with any club unable to tempt Oliver Glasner’s side into a permanent Rak-Sakyi sale.

So, where do Leeds turn now? Perhaps, it would be best-advised to leave these shores in search of a replacement for Summerville, though one option Leeds fans are desperate to sign is Jack Clarke.
