Everton have just two weeks to get any final signings over the line before the deadline at the end of the month.
Sean Dyche has seen four new faces land at Goodison Park over the summer and all four have made a positive start on Merseyside.
Jake O’Brien wowed after scoring on his Everton debut against Preston North End and the likes of Jesper Lindstrom, Iliman Ndiaye and Tim Iroegbunam have also impressed.
But there is now question marks as to whether Everton will have any room to do further business before deadline day.
The signs are not looking overly positive with Dyche recently admitting to the media that he doubts any further signings will be made.
And this will come as a shock to Micah Richards who has already been left puzzled by something which Everton have failed to do this summer.

Despite Dyche’s comments in his pre-Brighton press conference, the Toffees continue to be linked with potential new signings.
Everton are believed to be interested in defender Angelo Preciado from Sparta Prague with the player said to be keen on the possible move to Goodison.
But even this is a move which may not go down well with Richards as he questioned why Everton have not signed another striker.
Speaking on The Rest is Football podcast, Richards has admitted he’s been stunned Everton have decided to stick with the options they have up top.
“I just don’t know why Everton don’t sign a striker. Calvert-Lewin is a good player, we have seen him when he’s fit, but is he going to be available for the whole season with his record?” he said.
“I have been there, I have been injured, so I am not being disrespectful to him but once your body picks up stuff it’s hard to then keep going for the full season.
“They have spent £50 million this window, just go and get a striker. Losing Onana is not going to be great but in midfield and defence they can keep it tight.
“The amount of clean sheets they had last season. But they just couldn’t get the ball in the net, that was their problem. I say avoid relegation but just tight again.”
Can Iliman Ndiaye make a real difference at Everton?
Despite impressing this summer during pre-season, there will remain question marks over whether Iliman Ndiaye will start ahead of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
There is still a long couple of weeks ahead of Calvert-Lewin who could still leave Everton with just 12 months left on his current deal.
But whether Ndiaye is ready to take the baton from the start of the campaign is another question given he did not score over the pre-season friendlies.
Ndiaye did not enjoy the best of spells in Ligue 1 with Marseille last season, but his time with Sheffield United showed promise.
Putting that into Premier League action is a huge ask, though.
