Whilst Everton have likely already tied up the bulk of their transfer business for this summer, that does not prevent rivals from swooping to snag some of their own talents.
After all, given their financial situation, a huge bid is often too good to turn down for Kevin Thelwell, and should it come in for the right player, everybody has their price.
When it comes to Dominic Calvert-Lewin though, this particular situation is different, with Sean Dyche seemingly keen to keep him at the club, but the striker is still unsure on what he wants from his future.

Speaking exclusively to Everton.News, transfer journalist Graeme Bailey provided a much-needed update on what could happen with the Toffees’ main marksman before the summer transfer window slams shut.
After all, nobody really seems to know what is going on with the 27-year-old, who has already rejected one contract, yet also failed to agree terms with Newcastle United throughout the Yankuba Minteh saga.
Some clarity on Calvert-Lewin’s Everton future is needed, and Bailey provided this by claiming: ‘I still wouldn’t rule Newcastle out of this.
There’s still two weeks to go. Newcastle like him a lot. He still hasn’t signed that contract. Nothing imminent, but I think over the last two weeks I wouldn’t rule anything out. I think there’s still interest there from a few teams.
‘There’s been a few sniffs around him from what I’m hearing, but there’s not a lot Everton can do at this point. He’s got a year left, they want him to stay. From what I’m hearing they’re pretty hopeful.’
Everton should offer Dominic Calvert-Lewin a bumper new contract
Although it might go against all the financial movements they have made towards sustainability in recent years, the Toffees must surely try and tempt Calvert-Lewin to stay with a bumper new deal.
After all, it is not easy to find a striker in this market, particularly one with such a unique skillset.
His style is a dying breed, and yet Dyche relies heavily upon a forward with his abilities to uphold his system.
Not to mention that he has been a proficient finisher in the past, meaning there is scope for him to recapture his form one day soon now that his fitness has returned.
And, just 15 goals away from becoming Everton’s all-time top scorer, his decision to stick around would not be solely motivated by financial means, with the opportunity to write his name in history a solid motivator.
It cannot be anything too ludicrous, but a lucrative new deal to keep Calvert-Lewin around would be worth the outlay.
