It is no secret that Leeds United boss Daniel Farke wants some more bodies through the door at Leeds United before the transfer deadline passes on August 30.

Indeed, the Whites boss himself has admitted he wants four more signings in the closing days of the window, albeit he is not sure if that will be doable.

With Archie Gray, Crysencio Summerville, Glen Kamara already out the door and Georginio Rutter set to join Brighton, there is money to be spent – it’s just deciding where to spend the money that’s proving problematic.

One name who has crept up consistently in the window is Dejan Ljubicic and an update from Bild (18 August) on the Austria international suggests it is a deal that could down to the wire.

The 26-year-old misses his side’s 2. Bundesliga trip to Sandhausen on Sunday with a knee injury, a perhaps untimely issue that might make Leeds’ attempt to sign him go down to the wire.

Leeds United to make Dejan Ljubicic move?
It was previously reported by the German publication (7 August) that Ljubicic could be available for transfer for around £6.8million and that he dreams of “big-time football.

Well, Leeds might not be in the Premier League right now, but even amid the chaos of this summer, the expectation remains that the Whites will get back to the big time.

So, it stands to reason that Ljubicic might be tempted by the move to West Yorkshire and the signs certainly point towards Daniel Farke being interested in bringing him to Elland Road.

Time is of the essence now, though, so whatever route Leeds decide to go down in the closing days of the window they really need to get a move on with it.
