Dan Bardell believes Everton could sign Tom Fellows to hand his side a boost after a negative opening to the Premier League season.
Sean Dyche’s side lost their first two games of the campaign against Brighton and Tottenham, conceding seven goals.
In response, the Toffees have been linked with the Baggies star with the Daily Mail reporting on 27 August that a £10million move was being readied.
Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell thinks that there are better areas to focus on but thinks the winger could provide a useful boost.
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Bardell said: “He’s a player who had his breakout season at West Brom last year.
“Their fans rate him very highly but on the face of it Everton are well stocked in the wide midfield areas.
They’ve made a terrible start to the season so maybe their looking to sign someone to just give them a boost.
“I don’t see how Fellows steps into Everton, it’s a really difficult place, especially for a young player.
I would have thought that the club have more pressing priorities than a young wide player making his way in the game.“

Although Fellows is a bright young prospect coming out of the Championship, there is no guarantee that he would be Premier League-ready just yet.
His progress would not be helped by coming into a struggling Everton side and being reduced to very limited minutes given the options that Dyche already has.
With Jesper Lindstrom and Iliman Ndiaye coming in and Jack Harrison returning, adding to Dwight McNeil, there are already plentiful wide options at Goodison Park.
Spending over £10m on the 21-year-old could represent a risk given the unsure financial situation that surrounds the club right now.
Potentially waiting on this deal until January or even next summer could prove to be a smarter option.
