David Moyes is in contention to make a sensational return to Everton, sources have told Football Insider.
Sean Dyche’s job is under growing pressure after the Merseyside club’s horrific start to the new season.
Sources have said that Moyes would “love” to land the Everton job for the second time and make a return to Goodison Park this season.
Dyche is under contract at Everton until next summer, but the board could get twitchy if the fans start to turn against the former Burnley boss.
Everton suffered a catastrophic 3-2 defeat against Bournemouth on Saturday (31 August) despite leading the game 2-0 in the 86th minute.
It marked Everton’s third consecutive loss in the Premier League this season, with the club having conceded 10 goals in that period.

Dyche’s team have gotten off to a particularly difficult start to the new campaign, which sees the club sat bottom of the Premier League table.
It has opened up the door for a potential Moyes return this season, who last managed the club in 2013.
The Scotsman was in charge of the Merseyside club from 2002 before eventually being hand-picked by Sir Alex Ferguson to replace him at Man United.
Moyes is currently without a club after his second spell in charge of West Ham United finished at the end of last season.
Everton’s only win this season came in the EFL Cup second round as the Merseyside giants beat Doncaster Rovers 3-0.
They will be back in action against Aston Villa (14 September) after the upcoming international break.
