West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus has been nothing other than an unmitigated success at the London Stadium.
West Ham signed Mohammed Kudus from Ajax last summer but worryingly, he has already hinted that his ambition is to play for a huge club chasing major honours.
The Ghanaian cost the Hammers around £38 million (Sky Sports), and he has already proven to be worth more than his weight in gold for us.
Unfortunately for the Hammers though, it has been claimed that Mohammed Kudus could be sold next summer in order to help finance the permanent deal to sign Jean-Clair Todibo.
He has an £85 million release clause will come into effect next summer (The Athletic) – one that will undoubtedly prove tempting to some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
The thought of losing Kudus is a painful one. Whilst we can all keep our fingers crossed that he remains at the London Stadium, we have to be realistic about the fact that he’s destined to reach the very top of the game, and compete for the biggest trophies.

The Ghanaian has taken to the Premier League like a duck to water.
He is one of the most explosive and exciting attackers to watch in world football right now.
However, there could be big problem lying in wait for the Hammers.
Man City star Josko Gvardiola was effusive in his praise of Kudus, when speaking about last season’s Premier League title win.
The Croatian said, “If we talk about a player then I would like to say last season it was Kudus from West Ham. I remember the first game he was on the bench, so he came in for the last 15/20 minutes. He was playing on my side so I was like, ‘He looks sharp and he’s good on the ball’. Then I remember the second game at the end of the season when he scored the bicycle kick. He was the one who I struggled the most to play against, and I think he’s the one who deserves more attention. I believe this season, he’s going to come out and show his quality.“
There’s that famous story of when Manchester United played a pre-season friendly against Sporting CP back in the summer of 2003.
The Man United players couldn’t handle a young Cristiano Ronaldo, and begged Sir Alex Ferguson to sign the Portuguese forward.
A month later, Ronaldo was a Manchester United player, and the rest is history.
If Gvardiol is raving about Kudus on a podcast, you can bet your life that he, and his fellow teammates for that matter, has pleaded with Pep Guardiola to sign the Ghanaian.
That makes me very worried, I can’t lie!

Whether we manage to keep hold of him or not is another matter though. It wouldn’t surprise me one little bit if Manchester City come knocking for him next summer.
