Celtic will finish the weekend level on points with Aberdeen after the Dons beat Hearts 3-2 at Pittodrie on Sunday.
Jimmy Thelin’s side continue to keep pace with the Bhoys in the Scottish Premiership, winning all seven of their league matches so far this term.
Some prominent personalities, such as Alan Shearer, have started publicly declaring that they are serious title contenders, which, in fairness, the Dons boss distanced himself from.
With the top three in the league all playing on Sunday, Aberdeen have lived well with the pressure.
They scored late to get the victory over the Edinburgh side after falling 2-1 behind in the second half and now have 21 points, the same total as Celtic.
Earlier, Brendan Rodgers’ team staged a second-half comeback away to Ross County to maintain their league match-winning streak.

Aberdeen would have been desperate to make the trip to Glasgow in two weeks level with Celtic. They’ll be buzzing tonight.
What an occasion today’s results set up – a pair of teams with 100% records going toe-to-toe in Paradise. The challenge is better than what we’ve had from Rangers.
It’s a very intriguing contest. Thelin’s team will fancy their chances of moving clear at the top of the table, or at least returning home remaining level with Celtic. Confidence is flowing.
Conversely, if the Bhoys live up to their favourites status then they’ll surge three points ahead of the Dons.
We’re about to find out just how credible Aberdeen’s winning run is. Their visit to Celtic will be their biggest test of the season so far by a distance.
Celtic’s recent record against Aberdeen is strong
It has to be said that recent history is on Celtic’s side, too. Aberdeen haven’t beaten the Bhoys in their last 25 attempts, with Celtic winning out 21 times in that period.
Rodgers and his players will no doubt treat the match like any other. There will be a bit of media hype around this one, but realistically, Celtic are expected to win.
The Dons are out to prove they have made enough progress to give the Bhoys a tough game. Hopefully, the champions can burst their bubble.
