Celtic’s produced another late, late show in Dingwall as Brendan Rodgers dug out another win from nothing in the Scottish Premiership this season.

In a game reminiscent of Celtic’s 2-1 win against Ross County under Ange Postecoglou in 2021, Brendan Rodgers’ team showed their resilience as they poked and prodded Don Cowie’s team to ensure no points were left in the Highlands this weekend.

Goals from Alistair Johnston and Nicolas Kuhn sent the travelling Celtic support back to Glasgow delighted but it was a nervy last 15 minutes as it did look like the Bhoys were on their way to recording their first defeat of the season.

But it was the German winger that much of the Hoops support was speaking about after his late Celtic goal kept Rodgers’ unbeaten start to the Scottish Premiership season intact.

Nicolas Kuhn labelled ‘exceptional’ by Celtic fans after Ross County winner
This week has been a tough one for the Celtic supporters to take after watching the Champions League defeat to Borussia Dortmund midweek.

But now, heading into the international break with a vital win under their belts, the Celtic support sent their appreciation to Kuhn after his cooly-taken winner sunk Ross County this afternoon.

Another Celtic fan added, “Wow. Nicholas Kuhn as cool as you like. Celtic much improved second half.” whilst another commented, “What an important player Kuhn has become btw.

Whilst I wish this was true, I reckon this Celtic fan was just kidding.

The German winger was lauded for taking the game to a stuffy Ross County, “Sometimes all the tactics in the world come second to players like Forrest, Bernardo, McCowan and Kuhn just taking the game by the scruff of the neck to make it happen.

“Bernardo in particular has shades of Roy Aitken with his “my ball” attitude – and it led to the second goal.” and another Celtic fan praised Kuhn’s stats this season so far.

So on that note, let’s take a look at Kuhn’s stats for Celtic’s win over Ross County and how the winger has performed in the opening ten games of the season.

Nicolas Kuhn’s Celtic stats show a player high in confidence
Kuhn started and finished the game against The Staggies and according to Fotmob, the German was one of the best players on the park.

Rated at 8.3, Kuhn’s goal wasn’t the only good thing about his performance. The Celtic winger also had two shots on goal, created one chance and had six touches in the Ross County penalty box.

Kuhn also has 54 touches of the ball overall as he tried to get involved in the Celtic attack and had a passing accuracy of 81%.

The January signing also put a shift in defensively as he made four defensive actions, six ball recoveries and won seven duels in Celtic’s win.

Today’s winner against Ross County was Kuhn’s fifth goal of the season to complement his eight assists as the German winger just continues to go from strength to strength for the Parkhead club.
