Leon Osman was a hero during his Everton playing days, and now he’s turned to punditry.
Everton fans will have fond memories of Leon Osman from his time at Goodison Park.
Osman made a whopping 433 appearances for the Toffees, scoring 58 goals and assisting 37, with his career spanning from 2002 to 2016.
The Toffees have been calling out for the creativity of Osman at times this season, as most of the central midfielders at the club right now are more defensive minded.
Dwight McNeil has been tasked with operating in the number 10 role due to the lack of options in that position, though it has raised eyebrows as Iliman Ndiaye is arguably more suited.
Regardless, there was one goal this season that Osman believes is the best yet in the Premier League, and it happened to be scored by an Everton player.

Interestingly, Keane has even said he’s one of the best finishers at Everton alongside Dominic Calvert-Lewin, which is hard to argue.
The Englishman has two goals to his name in the Premier League so far this season.
Leon Osman was asked to give his pick for goal of the season so far by the Premier League, and he opted for Keane’s strike in the 2-1 win over Ipswich Town.
It was quite the finish, but we’re not so sure it deserves the goal of the season. He controlled the ball nicely and unleashed a ruthless shot into the roof of the net.
Michael Keane’s finishing ability is well-known at Everton
Michael Keane’s eye for goal is no longer a surprise as many players have come out and praised him.
Carlo Ancelotti was one of the first to spot Keane’s finishing ability, as he labelled him as the best finisher at the club.
He’s not the only one as Dwight McNeil also named Keane as the best finisher at the club, and Jack Harrison also agreed with his claim.
Of course, a striker role is very much out of the question on a regular basis, but it’s handy to have a player like Keane who can influence the game at both ends of the field.
