There’s Celtic contract news ahead of their clash with Hearts this weekend.

There’s some contract news in the air as Celtic head to Hearts in the Premiership- and with it comes three changes.

The Jambos will prove a racuous test on Saturday night for the Hoops, who make three changes to the team that beat Kilmarnock last time out. Cameron Carter-Vickers is in for Liam Scales, Kyogo comes in for Adam Idah and James Forrest provides a breather for Daizen Maeda.

He has signed a new deal on the morning of the game until 2026 and with Maeda overseas with Japan this week, it gives him more rest ahead of a critical Champions League clash with Club Brugge. Kyogo got his partial rest against Kilmarnock so comes in after time with Japan and Hatate didn’t feature on Tuesday vs China at all.

Speaking on the new deal, Forrest told Celtic TV: “It’s unbelievable. I’ve loved every minute of being here, from being a wee boy coming through the youth and all the ups that I’ve had playing for the first team.

I’m just delighted that I’ve managed to work hard and hopefully I can keep contributing to the team for another year. There’s always been great players and managers at this club, and being a part of this club is a great feeling and once I finish my career I’ll properly look back and think about it all.

When you’re in the bubble of it, there’s nothing better than playing and winning things here.

Here is how we think manager Brendan Rodgers will set out his side in the capital.
