Matt Jones slammed Sean Dyche as he described the situation at Everton as “miserable” after they failed to beat the 10 men of Brentford on Saturday.

The Toffees could only muster a goalless draw at Goodison Park (23 November) despite Christian Norgaard being sent off just before half-time.

Dyche’s side have won just twice in 12 attempts leading to heavy criticism from supporters with Liverpool Echo Jones lambasting the situation with a social media post on X (23 November).

It read: “Have disliked Everton more than this, have definitely loved them more than this. But have never felt like they’re something to be endured quite like this.

“Nothing enjoyable about life under this manager right now. Punching time on what should be a historic year. Miserable.

Sean Dyche surely in the final weeks as Everton boss
Everton have been so hugely underwhelming this season with little sign of the situation improving. With just two wins all campaign, their position in 15th is almost a false reading and Dyche has to be on the chopping block.

A draw against Brentford on 23 November just epitomised everything that is wrong with the club under the stewardship of Dyche.

Everton looked toothless and clueless as to what they were actually being asked to do.

The Toffees have looked devoid of not only confidence but also ideas with much of that down to the doing of Dyche.

The feeling on Merseyside is evident, supporters have had enough of the lacklustre performances and underwhelming results and Dyche simply won’t last the season at Goodison Park if this continues but if Everton take too long to act, it could provide somewhat of an impossible task for whoever his successor is.

Everton have some quality players in their squad that aren’t being utilised because of the way Dyche has them set up and, as it stands, it’s hard to forecast any scenario other than a relegation battle.

With the imminent takeover approaching, the Friedin Group will be looking to make an instant impact and the first change has to be a managerial one.
