The January transfer window is edging closer and the rumour mill is starting to heat up for Celtic.
Brendan Rodgers is in a pretty strong position because Celtic are flying high in the Premiership and heading towards the knockout stages of the Champions League.
One of the reasons behind that is the strength of Celtic’s squad and that was proven at the weekend during the 4-1 win over Hearts.
Adam Idah came off the bench to score a brace, whilst the likes of Liam Scales and Luke McCowan, to name a few, also didn’t make the starting XI.
But that hasn’t stopped the transfer rumour mill from throwing up names that could move to Parkhead, including a certain rising star in Lennon Miller.

There is competition for places throughout the Celtic XI, from Greg Taylor and Alex Valle at left-back to Auston Trusty dethroning Liam Scales at centre-half.
But you could argue that the biggest fight for places is in the middle of the park, with Callum McGregor leading the charge, as Paulo Bernardo and McCowan watch on from the sidelines.
Given this talk around Miller possibly joining Celtic, Pat Bonner was quick to shut it down on the Scottish Football Podcast.
The Bhoys legend feels that the Motherwell teenager wouldn’t even get into Celtic’s squad and he is better off continuing playing week in and week out at Fir Park.

“Lennon Miller, great player, great ability on the ball. A great passer of the ball. But to come in here, he could end up not getting into that squad. That would be a shame.

At the age of 18 and with the world at his feet, you can understand why there is a clamour around Miller for his services.
WhoScored have rated his performances at 7.33 this season, including six goal involvements to his name.
There could also be the argument that Celtic purchase Miller, but then loan him straight back to Motherwell, before having a look at him next summer.
After all, the club have done very well to pluck out those talents, be patient, improve them and then watch them turn into diamonds.
