Still, the Hoops sit well within the knockout playoff spots that would see them given another chance to remain in the competition and push for the latter stages and the cash to come with it.
The European success this term has added to the feelgood factor in Glasgow which has come from Celtic’s incredible Scottish Premiership form as well as their Premier Sports Cup Final run.
Brendan Rodgers’ side are unbeaten domestically thus far and are enjoying their run.
However, not every club can say the same. And for Celts, the timing of Dinamo Zagreb’s miserable form might have come at an ideal moment.
The two clubs are next to do battle on the Euro stage and they will compete on December 10 in the cauldron that is Maksimir Stadium next Tuesday.
But while Celtic are rampant – having just hammered Ross County 5-0 at home – Zagreb find themselves in a stickier situation.

Recent form has also been poor and GNK have picked up just one victory in their last five outings.
That run has put manager Nenad Bjelica in the firing line and it is being reported in Croatia that he could well be sacked before Rodgers and his squad come to town.
Bjelica himself acknowledges that his job is teetering on the edge following poor results.
“We haven’t achieved what we expected in the league, but in the Champions League we have exceeded expectations,” he said.

“I respect everyone’s opinion about the quality of the squad, but I think a lot of important players are missing through injury and you have to remember that.

“I am well aware of the situation here and the consequences of not winning enough games.
