Celtic set a new record after beating Ross County on Saturday that not many fans may have known about.
The 5-0 Celtic Park win over Don Cowie’s side was Brendan Rodgers’ 12th win as the Hoops continue their unbeaten start to the season.
When Adam Idah’s goal, Celtic’s fifth of the game, hit the back of the Ross County net, that meant the Bhoys had scored their 40th goal of the Scottish Premiership campaign as the Parkhead club remained relentless in the defence of their title.
And in doing so, Celtic have set a new record that has bettered anything the club have done in their entire history that fans might not have known about.

The account posted, “Celtic are on the longest run in the club’s history of scoring 2+ goals in consecutive league matches
“🥅 That’s now 22 league games in a row where they’ve scored 2 or more goals, since the 2-0 loss at Tynecastle in March
“⚽ They’ve scored 67 goals in 21 games & 40 mins.
The five goals against Ross County is the ninth time Celtic have scored five or more goals under Brendan Rodgers since the Irishman returned to the club last summer.

Celtic have been relentless under Brendan Rodgers since he returned to Parkhead for a second spell last summer.
Celtic won a league and Scottish Cup double and as well as doing so this season, the Bhoys destroyed many of their opponents last season.
