While the feint possibility of a European hangover existed after the Bhoys’ Champions League draw with Brugge, it is fair to say nobody was left with any doubt following their performance on Saturday.
Liam Scales, Luke McCowan, Paulo Bernardo, Callum McGregor and Adam Idah put the shine on Celtic’s five-star triumph at home to Ross County, sending the home support home delighted at the treat they got to witness.
More than anything, Brendan Rodgers would’ve been pleased by his squad flexibility as several fringe men came to the forefront and made cases for further involvement from the start.

Speaking to Press & Journal, White has admitted his side didn’t recover from Celtic’s early pressure, but acknowledges the quality they were up against was always going to make keeping the score down an uphill challenge.
He explained: “We don’t want to come to places like Celtic Park and just accept we’re going to get beat. It’s not the way we want to go about it, but it can happen, and it is something we will move on from.
We’ve been really good at home. Sunday is a chance for us to show we can do something (against Rangers).
Later, he continued: “Celtic maybe took their foot off the gas a wee bit, but it was about getting a wee bit of pride that we kept the clean sheet in the second half.
“The first half was disappointing. Celtic were good and took their goals really well.
“The first one, from a set-piece, is the one where we’re disappointed because we feel we maybe should get the better of them. We didn’t recover from that.”

Statistically, Celtic created six ‘big chances’ and took on 25 shots against Ross County, providing an insight regarding the type of performance in full view last weekend.
The first half produced an avalanche of goals for fans to enjoy. Ultimately, it felt like the hosts would score every time they went forward.
With the Bhoys’ trip to face Aberdeen tomorrow night, it is unsurprising that Rodgers opted to slow things down a little to avoid any unnecessary exertion ahead of Pittodrie.
Nevertheless, Celtic recorded another outstanding three points despite making several changes, which tells you a lot about why they are frontrunners for another Scottish Premiership title.
