A huge week awaits Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.
It starts with the final Champions League game of 2024—away in Croatia against Dinamo Zagreb—and ends with Celtic’s League Cup final showdown against Rangers on Sunday.
One thing is for sure, Celtic are in a great headspace and going great guns, especially in the Premiership following the latest weekend of action.
Celtic beat Hibernian 3-0 on Saturday afternoon, on paper, it may feel like it’s comfortable, but it was far from it.
The opposition had several big chances to score and Celtic have Kasper Schmeichel to thank because he produced a Man of the Match display.
Understandably, the big Dane took the headlines, in that regard, but it was Kyogo Furuhashi who left James McFadden and Kris Boyd amazed.

Kyogo is already a Celtic legend and now he is just adding to that legacy by continuing to wow the crowd with his moments of magic.
James McFadden and Kris Boyd were shown a replay of Kyogo’s goal and they were blown away by it.
Boyd hailed it as ‘unbelievable’, whilst McFadden highlighted how the Japan star is the one usually ‘tiring’ defences, then Idah comes on and scores.
But it was Kyogo getting the benefits of that this time around at the weekend, as McFadden told Sky Sports Football (08/12/24 at 11:10 am).
“This is unbelievable,” responded Boyd after watching back Kyogo’s goal.
McFadden added: “It’s brilliant. It’s not a surprise. Kyogo coming on. He would probably be happy because he is normally the one who tiers the defences and then Idah comes on and scores the goals.
“He comes on and obviously gets a really nice goal. Celtic not at their best. But they still get a 3-0 victory at home. You can’t complain about that for Celtic.

Kyogo isn’t one to be brash or act like Zlatan Ibrahimović when talking or presenting himself to the media.
But that goal was worthy of him showing off because that first touch and then dink over the goalkeeper was just pure genius.
Kyogo’s reaction on Instagram was rather funny, modest and the player being his typical self, because he didn’t make too much of a fuss about it.
‘I will do my best in the next game,’ wrote the Celtic striker.
