Celtic face a tough trip to Dundee United this lunchtime to take on a side flying high in the Scottish Premiership.
The Bhoys head to Tannadice unbeaten and full of confidence after their League Cup win last weekend whereas Jim Goodwin’s team are also enjoying a rich vein of form.
Having lost just once in their last six games, Dundee United are also just one of four teams in the Scottish Premiership with a positive goal difference so Brendan Rodgers will need to make sure his Celtic defence are aware of their attacking threat.
Hoping to jump into fourth place with a win against Celtic, Goodwin admits that he knows he has a ‘big task’ ahead to try and win all three points today at Tannadice.

Goodwin told The Courier, “We know we’ve got a big task on our hands on Sunday.
“Nobody has managed to beat Celtic in the league yet.
“They’ve only dropped two points all season, only conceded four goals and scored an obscene number of goals.
“Hopefully, we can come up with a plan, a system and personnel that can cause an upset.
Jim Goodwin flummoxed as to how Dundee United can stop Celtic
Celtic have beaten every single team in the league this season apart from the Tannadice club. With Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers facing Dundee United for the first time ever today, Goodwin admits he needs to be careful his team don’t get ‘punished’ live on Sky Sports when asked how he plans to end the Parkhead club’s unbeaten run.
“That’s what everybody’s trying to figure out! Rangers included,” continued Goodwin, “Aberdeen held them to a draw at Parkhead, but the chances that Celtic missed in the first half probably didn’t put the game to bed.
They’ve got so many good quality players. You can put your attention on one player and then another player finds space and causes you problems. It’s as tough a game as it comes.
“We’re hoping to deny them space and have a good defensive shape. We can’t make the same mistakes we made last Saturday (4-3 defeat at Motherwell), or we’ll get punished.”
The last time Celtic faced Dundee United at Tannadice, Ange Postecoglou was the boss and the Hoops won 2-0 with goals from Jota and Aaron Mooy.
Rodgers and the Celtic support would take that result today to ensure that their lead at the top returns to 11 points over Rangers.
With the Glasgow Derby less than two weeks away, having a healthy lead at the top of the table puts the pressure off Celtic and onto Rangers as Philippe Clement knows that the upcoming Ibrox fixture is a must-win for his team.
