More has been said about the non-awarding of a penalty this week than Celtic beating Rangers to another trophy.
But the fact remains, Celtic claimed their 119th trophy of their illustrious and glittering history when they beat their old rivals on penalties in the League Cup final last week.
Since then, rather than talk about Brendan Rodgers outclassing Rangers again, or even becoming Scotland’s most decorated club.
There has been more drama and noise around the extra-time incident between Liam Scales and Vaclav Cerny.
The opposition feel Cerny was fouled on the penalty line, as Scales tugged him back and, as a result, VAR should have intervened and awarded a spot-kick.
The head of referees Willie Collum even labelled the call ‘unacceptable’ as he gave Rangers special treatment around the incident, but you haven’t heard it all yet!

As if Rangers haven’t cried enough already, there have even been suggestions that there should be a ‘replay’ of the game.
That’s what PLZ Soccer presenter Peter Martin told Neil Lennon and how that suggestion is ‘ludicrous’ and just ‘complete nonsense’.
Perhaps there should be a replay of Daizen Maeda’s winning penalty because you can watch it over and over again, for free!

Neil Lennon says Celtic-Rangers penalty drama has ‘rumbled on too long’
One thing is for sure, it has made Celtic’s trip to Ibrox after the New Year more interesting and you know VAR will dominate that.
But, as per, the champions will do their talking on the field of play and look to further extend their lead at the top of the table.
Either way, Lennon feels all of this has ‘rumbled on for too long’, with the Bhoys resuming Premiership action away at Dundee United on Sunday.
