Rangers’ feel-good factor after beating Celtic in the New Year Glasgow Derby has all but been wiped out after they dropped points against Hibs this afternoon.
The Ibrox club turned it on against Celtic on Thursday with a convincing 3-0 win over Brendan Rodgers’ side but failed to follow that result up in the capital.
Philippe Clement’s side stormed into an early 2-0 lead and seemed to be coasting before they scored just before halftime to keep themselves in the game.
However, goals from Martin Boyle (2) and Rocki Bushiri wiped out Igamane’s hattrick to gift Celtic an opportunity to increase their lead against St Mirren this afternoon.
However, Kris Boyd fired Rangers a warning after their Celtic win with a pre-match rant before the Hibs draw where his prediction about the Ibrox club’s away from came true.

Boyd told Sky Sports, “I think that’s the big thing that touches on the physicality of Rangers because I don’t look at Rangers and think, ‘Oh, they’re a big team and if you can stop them playing and try and bully them.’
“You look at the games Saint Mirren, Kilmarnock, Aberdeen, Celtic are different, but the draw at Hearts, the games that Rangers have lost, they’ve been bullied.
“They have been they’ve been run over the top of physical battles. They’ve lost them.

“You listen to your centre-back, Propper has come out and he said he struggled with the physical aspect of the Scottish game.
“If I’m a player on an away team and I’m looking at I think, ‘I can’t wait to go up against him. I’m gonna go and challenge him, put him on the back foot’ then all of a sudden the team drops an extra five, 10 yards, and there’s more space for the opposition.
“Listen, we can’t get away from the fact that Rangers were very, very good on Thursday at home against Celtic, very good.
“But the away form has been atrocious. Eleven points from a possible 27 is not good enough for Rangers.
If Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic needed any extra motivation to beat St Mirren today then they have just been handed it again by Rangers.
The chance to go thirteen points clear will be a perfect cure to their New Year Ibrox hangover and will placate much of the Celtic support who were unhappy at how easily Rangers collected three derby points
