Nicolas Kuhn lit up the Parkhead pitch once again as Celtic eased past St Mirren on Sunday, scoring twice in a 3-0 win.

The German winger even played with a suspected broken nose from a collision sustained against Rangers last time out and produced an impressive showing to help the runaway Scottish Premiership leaders recover excellently from that Ibrox defeat.

“We had to show a reaction after the last game, and that’s what we did,” the in-form Celtic star said.

“I’m happy that we got the three points. It was really important for us to get back to winning ways.

“The last game was not too good but I’m glad that I keep going.

“We are not used to losing and we did much better today, scored some goals, and we are happy with the three points.”

Asked if he has any targets in mind having now netted 16 times across all competitions on his first full campaign at Celtic, the 25-year-old replied: “It’s the best team that I have played in yet. All the team mates and staff make it a lot easier for me, and I’m just happy to be here.

“I’m not so focused on the numbers. We just have to perform well and that’s what I try to do.

“For me, the most important thing is staying fit, that’s what I’ve always said, and at the end it’s about winning trophies. I’m not so focused on the numbers.
