David Moyes is not in the Everton dugout at Goodison Park after agreeing to return as their new manager.
Having spent months out of the game, Moyes has returned to Merseyside after 11 years away from the club.
Moyes has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal at Everton as he will see the Toffees in their new stadium next season.
The 60-year-old will be familiar with Finch Farm and Goodison, but there will not be too many familiar faces remaining around the club.
However, there is one Everton player who is set to play a significant role in Moyes’ dressing room.

Following Dyche’s sacking on Thursday, Seamus Coleman managed Everton in the FA Cup against Peterborough United alongside Leighton Baines.
Sky Sports reporter Alan Myers has now claimed the 36-year-old defender will play a key role in Moyes’ tenure behind the scenes.
‘He returns to familiar territory, to familiar faces, many are still there from when he left, none more so than captain Seamus Coleman, arguably Moyes’ most prudent signing in his previous spell,” Myers said.
He will be a valuable link in the dressing room.’
There is one potential issue and that is the Ireland international’s contract is set to run out at the end of the season.
Coleman has admitted he’s not sure if he’ll remain at Everton for next season when asked about his contract situation.
But for now, Everton will just be looking to secure themselves Premier League safety.
Seamus Coleman was arguably Moyes’ best signing
Back in Moyes’ first stint at the club, Coleman made the move from Blackpool for a mere £60k.
Since signing for the Toffees, the Irishman has made 426 appearances having become one of Everton’s greatest servants.
Around a quarter of those games came under Moyes.
Everton are already eyeing a potential replacement for Coleman with the full-back’s future coming under doubt just a matter of months away from his contract ending.
However, he has shown – as interim manager – just how powerful his voice is behind the scenes and could play a huge role off the pitch for Moyes this season.
