Kris Boyd has had to endure plenty of Celtic pain as the Scottish champions continue their relentless defence of the title.
Brendan Rodgers’ side recorded another win as Celtic beat Ross County up at Dingwall to go 18 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership table yesterday afternoon.
With Rangers still to play today, the gap increased further and it seems that it was too much for Sky Sports’ Kris Boyd to take as he analysed Celtic’s fourth goal that sealed Rodgers’ 19th win of the season.

3-1 up and cruising to another three points, Celtic added a late fourth goal as Luke McCowan tucked away his chance after the ball pinballed around the Ross County penalty box.
But it seems the goal shouldn’t have stood as Boyd makes a claim about Celtic midfielder Arne Engels during the build-up.
Boyd said on Sky Sports, “I’ll bet you James Brown’s in the dressing and wishing he had the opportunity to tackle when, you know, offside Arne Engels was able to put him off before he got back there. Surely that’s intervening with play as well.”
Barbour [laughing]: “Do you want some more straws?”
Boyd: “That’s the rules. Is he intervening with play? 100%. Show it again.
Sutton: “I can’t take him seriously. 4-1, blimey. Whinging”
Boyd: “Engels is offside here and he stops James Brown from getting an opportunity to make a tackle. “He stops him from getting back in there to make a tackle.”
Sutton: “I mean, that’s a massive clutch there.”
Boyd: “It’s not really. As you can see he actually tries to get around him, Engels just stands and he knows he’s offside. By the way, it’s good feet, he gets away but I’m sure James Brown would have been looking for the opportunity to make a tackle.
Sutton: “Well, doesn’t have the reach to make a challenge there, does he? He was about twelve feet away at the time. Have we got any hankies?” [Barbour continues laughing]
Boyd: “I’m brand new.

During the passage of play, the last person to touch the ball was Celtic youngster, Johnny Kenny. As the striker fell, the ball struck his knee and at that point, Engels was onside.
Even so, out of all the things that happened in the game, this is the one Boyd chose to kick up a fuss about.
It’s clear that the former Rangers man is struggling to accept Celtic’s dominance of Scottish football as he watches his old team flounder from one disastrous result to the next.
As for Rodgers, the Hoops boss has a Dundee visit to look forward to as Tony Docherty brings the Dens Park club to Celtic Park on Tuesday night.
Another victory will bring Celtic one step closer to their fourth title in a row and will heap more misery on Boyd who is having a long and tough season, it seems.
