Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou are on opposite ends of success at both Celtic and Tottenham Hotspur.

At Celtic, Rodgers has already enjoyed immense success this season after the Bhoys beat Rangers in the League Cup final, opened up a 13-point gap at the top of the league and have now qualified from the Champions League after a Celtic Park win over Young Boys.

Ange Postecoglou is under serious pressure as the former Celtic boss struggles at Spurs. Sitting 15th in the Premier League and scraping by in Europe, the Australian is being heavily criticised and tipped for the sack due to his gung-ho brand of football that made him a hero at Parkhead.

But it seems that there are rumours surrounding both managers circulating around the English press that former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie says are ‘a lot of nonsense’.

Celtic hero brands Brendan Rodgers replacing Ange Postecoglou at Spurs rumour as ‘nonsense’
McAvennie told the Let Me Be Frank podcast [20m 45s], “They’re now saying down there in the press, the press being what they are down south, they’re now trying to stir it up that Brendan’s going there and he’s [Postecoglou] coming back. A lot of nonsense.

“What a lot of nonsense is that? They’re saying that that’s what’s happening. Brendan was down in London, he’s been down for a weekend and all of a sudden they put two and two together.

“I’m just saying what the English press is like, just jumping on the bandwagon. So it’s not going to happen, that’s for sure.

Brendan Rodgers’ record at Celtic vs Ange Postecoglou
Look, we all know that even more rumours will circulate about Rodgers now that he has got Celtic out of the Champions League group phase.

However, a swap with Ange at Spurs is borderline fairytale stuff. But it did make us think, just how different are both managers’ records at Celtic as Rodgers completes his second season at the cub?

Both managers have been excellent at Celtic and right now, with Rodgers, the club are on a path (especially in Europe) that has got most of the Parkhead support really excited at what lies ahead.
