Adam Idah is Celtic’s main man up top right now.
Daizen Maeda’s incredible hattrick aside in the Scottish Cup last weekend, Idah has hit the goals trail following a number of weeks worth of a barren run in front of the net.
It was a difficult stint for the Irishman although manager Brendan Rodgers always backed his player for contributing to the team even outside of his statistics.

He had taken some time to find his shooting boots but that coincided with a lack of starting minutes due to just how important Kyogo Furuhashi had become in Glasgow.

The Japanese striker was the number one choice through the middle but Celtic sold Kyogo to Rennes which left them short in attack.
Fans were livid at the “shocking” transfer window as they failed to properly replace the 30-year-old but that is where Idah came to the rescue.
The big target man lived up to his price tag in the big game down south in Europe and has hoped to continue that in recent weeks – with Bayern Munich up next in their knockout playoff.
For Marvin Bartley, Idah will be chuffed – quietly – that Celtic were unable to land a new hitman in January.
Selfishly from a striker’s perspective, Idah will likely want a run in the team himself to play consistently which he did not have with Kyogo here.
He may also not have had that had Mathias Kvistgaarden, for example, joined the club.
So the striker nightmare for the club might have turned into a dream for Idah.
Idah will get game time at Celtic with little striker competition
“Of course he is (secretly delighted), 100 percent,” Bartley told the Warm Up host Gordon Duncan when asked if Idah would be “secretly delighted” that Celts failed in signing competition.
“Like Naisy said, even if he performed well with Kyogo on the bench, Kyogo’s playing the next game anyway!
“Now he’s relaxed and thinking, ‘If I do well here I’ll play the next game, if I don’t I might even get another chance’.
“It’s him or Maeda up there at the moment.
“He doesn’t want competition for places. Everyone else does, fans want it, the board might want it, the manager definitely wants it.
