Celtic fans have a lot of time for Ange Postecoglou.
The Tottenham Hotspur boss produced a trophy-winning and entertaining period at Celtic Park that will be forever remembered by the supporters.
It needs to be remembered that when the 59-year-old took the Celtic job – as an unknown figure from Yokohama F. Marinos in 2021 – he joined a side that had just been through its worst season in over a decade.
But that feel-good factor that Postecoglou brought to Glasgow hasn’t been replicated in Tottenham colours, mainly this season.
Postecoglou has divided opinion like nobody else before, as Spurs sit in the bottom half of the Premier League table and were knocked out of two domestic competitions within the space of a few days.
Liverpool prevented the London club from reaching the League Cup final, before Aston Villa knocked them out of the FA Cup last Sunday and it just turned up the pressure on the Celtic hero.

Spurs have been ravaged by injuries this season and it has forced Postecoglou to, not only play every three days with a small squad, but several of them teenagers.
The results and performances haven’t looked good, as a result, but Gary Neville is ‘glad’ that he is still in a job after those cup exits.
The Manchester United legend told Sky Sports that he feared the worst for Postecoglou and how he has been a ‘massive asset’ to the Premier League following his move from Celtic.
“I thought if he got knocked out of the League Cup and the FA Cup, then there would be real pressure builds on him,” said Neville.
“I don’t think it’s as much as I thought it would have done. I am glad about that because I want him to stay in the job. I do think he is a massive asset to the Premier League and I think he is an asset to Tottenham.
“But it has been a terrible time and there have been some shocking results. I hope he comes out of it. We know that he has had injuries.
Postecoglou ‘sympathy’ at Tottenham
Yes, the performances and results have gone out of the window for Spurs, but Celtic fans will tell those in London to stick by Postecoglou.
That all-action style of play that he brought to Celtic is visible in the Premier League, it’s just lacking consistency and bite because he has very few players to use.
On top of that, the schedule hasn’t helped and that’s why Neville has ‘sympathy’ for big Ange.
“I did have some sympathy with him when he talked about the Thursday-Sunday and Thursday-Sunday games that he has had and the volume of games,” added Neville.
“Not having any rest. Not having some of his players available. When you get on that negativity spiral and that confidence starts to dip, it’s really tough in football to turn it around, so I hope they can turn it around.
“Maybe not on Sunday (against Man United). I wouldn’t mind seeing them do well in Europe.
