Celtic have a healthy 16-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership.
The weekend results where Celtic beat St Mirren and Rangers went down to a defeat to Motherwell at Ibrox meant that heading into the next Glasgow Derby, Brendan Rodgers has the chance to increase that lead to 19 points.
The Celtic Park clash has the potential of being a high-scoring win for the Hoops after Rodgers has saw his side smash in 11 goals in their last three Scottish Premiership fixtures whilst Rangers have struggled.
And as the derby game nears, BBC pundit Ian McCall has shared an uncomfortable truth about the quality of the Rangers squad and if it can get close to Celtic.

McCall told The Scottish Football Podcast [12m], “Motherwell played very well. You know, the most damning thing I can say about Rangers is they didn’t have to be that good to win.
“I mean, it was small things like winning headers, like anticipation of a second ball, like being up on your opponent, all these things.
“There’s real, real problems. Ultimately, and, somebody’s got to say it. Players aren’t good enough. They’re not good enough to take Rangers to within five points of Celtic, let alone get level with Celtic.
“They’re just not good enough.

Celtic have enjoyed near total-domination over Rangers under Brendan Rodgers since he returned to the club in the summer of 2023.
Since then, the Celtic manager has faced the Ibrox club eight times, winning six, drawing one and losing one.
