Celtic’s midfield is one of their biggest strengths under Brendan Rodgers.

Going back to the summer, Celtic sold Matt O’Riley, who was the best player in Scotland last season, but his presence hasn’t been missed during this campaign.

That’s a credit to Rodgers himself, the quality within Celtic’s squad and the transfer recruitment post-O’Riley’s move to Brighton.

The powers that be paid a club-record transfer to bring in Arne Engels in the summer and he has settled in very well in Glasgow.

But, could the champions of Scotland, once again, go down the road of bringing in added quality to boost Celtic’s midfield for the upcoming transfer window?!

A fresh report has emerged involving long-term target Lennon Miller and it has got the fans talking on social media.

Celtic fans back Brendan Rodgers to sign Lennon Miller
At the age of 18, Miller is proving to be one of the top prospects in Scotland and Motherwell will now have to let him go in the summer.

The rising midfielder has less than 18 months left on his deal at Fir Park and he is expected to leave, with Celtic keen on bringing him in.

Fans across social media are willing the club on to make this deal happen and they see the player as a long-term replacement for some already within the squad.

From Reo Hatate’s future to who will fill Callum McGregor’s void, fans feel a man like Miller can ease that pressure in these coming years if he is signed up.

@DavidCu74738443 had a possibly controversial idea: ‘Sell Reo hatate 10 million buy miller 5 million. Makes sense’.

John McGinn’s praise for Miller at Motherwell
It’s not just the Celtic fans who like what they see from Miller, but he also has a fan in Aston Villa captain, John McGinn.

The boyhood Celtic fan previously shared some inside information on the Motherwell star because his brother – Paul – plays alongside him.

Back in November, McGinn was sharing that he likes what he sees from Miller, as he also lauded his ‘attitude’, as he told Premier Sports.

I ask him (Paul McGinn) quite a lot (about Miller), but he called it pretty early,” said McGinn. I have seen a lot of him. What a player. The nicest thing you hear is how good an attitude he has got. How focused he is and he has an old head on young shoulders.

“I think the hard task for Motherwell is keeping hold of him – aye, I think he is chomping on the door (for a Scotland call-up).
