Everton were far from their best on Saturday night as they took a point back to Merseyside from their game against Wolves.
David Moyes has turned things around since being appointed in January, but Saturday’s display fell way short of their new standards.
Jack Harrison provided Everton with their only goal of the game, with his deflected effort marking his first goal of the season.
It has been a real struggle for the 28-year-old in an Everton shirt this term and his future will remain under scrutiny.
Harrison is on track to return to Leeds United at the end of the season unless he can convince those on Merseyside he is worthy of a permanent deal.
Having scored the Toffees’ only goal of the game, Moyes provided a very honest assessment of Harrison’s showing at Molineux.

Earlier in the week, Moyes demanded more goals from Harrison, and it took the winger just hours to provide the perfect response.
The reality is one goal does not change a lot, with Harrison seriously underwhelming throughout the 2024/25 campaign.
Speaking to TNT Sports following the game, Moyes admitted he couldn’t understand why Harrison scored for Leeds, but not for Everton.
“I remember him scoring plenty for Leeds and couldn’t see why he couldn’t do it for us,” said Moyes.
He is gaining confidence and the goal will help him.”
The 28-year-old has been playing a key role at Everton off the pitch; Harrison has been helping Carlos Alcaraz settle in following his January move.
But the Leeds loanee is going to need to seriously step up his game in these final 10 games if he wants to play at Bramley-Moore Dock next season.

Jack Harrison still needs to show Everton improvement
During their trip to Abu Dhabi, Harrison impressed Moyes during Everton training, as he earned himself a spot in the starting XI for Saturday.
However, his goal against Wolves may have masked over what was another fairly underwhelming showing.

Harrison’s crossing frustrated Moyes against Brentford, but it is apparent that Moyes is hoping this goal against Wolves will help him kick on.
And Harrison is going to have to show more and do it more consistently to remain on Merseyside.
