There were a couple of Celtic-related players on show as Scotland were relegated from Nations League A on Sunday at Hampden.
Those men are Anthony Ralston and Kieran Tierney, although, the latter is still on Arsenal’s books and won’t officially join Brendan Rodgers’ side until the summer.
Either way, the Celtic Park faithful would have been glad to see Tierney return to the colours of his country, but it was a huge disappointment because Greece thrashed Steve Clarke’s side.
On Thursday, Scotland won the first leg 1-0, but proceeded to suffer a 3-0 defeat in the return match and nobody can hold their heads up high.

The man with the armband for Scotland is Liverpool left-back, Andy Robertson, and he is the first name on the teamsheet for Clarke, but for how much longer?
Fans want to see more of Celtic hero Kieran Tierney amid Andy Robertson’s struggles for Scotland
Given Robertson’s recent performances, and Celtic hero Tierney sitting on the bench, then fans only want to see one thing.
They feel Clarke needs to change things up and, rather than use Tierney as a left-sided winger, they want to see the Arsenal defender in his usual role.
Fans across the board made it clear that it is time to move on from Robertson because he just isn’t putting in the performances anymore.
@kezzzz67 was clear: ‘Robertson only gets a game because he’s is at Liverpool. He’s absolutely hoaching. Tierney a far better player’.
@gjonesy09 wanted a change: ‘If the manager had any baws at all he’d have hooked Robertson for Tierney. It’s square pegs in round holes now. So so bad. How is Christie still on the pitch’.
@Albaland2000 thinks Robertson has been poor for a while: ‘Mclean aff ferguson on. Robertson aff Tierney on . When was Robertson last good game for scotland’.
@thEnd0fTheStorm thinks Tierney is streets ahead: ‘Where to start. Ryan Christie 1 of the outstanding players, at CDM, in the EPL, Clarke plays him on the right. Tierney is miles better than Robertson. Glimour flatters to deceive. Adams is just a poor fitbaw player& McGinn’s star has been on the wane for some time’.
@TlkaTakaXhaka continued the Tierney and Robertson theme: ‘Tierney on the bench given he’s consistently better for Scotland than Robertson, what’s the point?’
@Opticsbhoy added: ‘I’ve said this for ages but Tierney is twice the player Robertson is. We always concede down the left hand side when Robertson is playing’.
@ferg88_ was clear who should be Scotland’s number one left-back: ‘If Kieran tierney gets fit and gets a run of games next season and plays well he should be Scotlands left back’.
@TheGunnerNick wasn’t happy: ‘The best thing Scotland could’ve done was take Robertson off. Serves the Scots right for playing him over KT’.
@stephena1982 didn’t like Robbo’s moaning: ‘Andy Robertson moaning at refs when the balls still alive in the box. The myth that he’s better than KT baffles me’.
@GorgieOpinion wants Tierney to play ahead of Robertson: ‘Can we drop Andy Robertson for KT or someone? Honestly the guys offered 0 in this Scotland squad’.
