Kasper Schmeichel was all smiles this weekend at Lennoxtown.
The Celtic goalkeeper trained with the squad ahead of this weekend’s clash with St Johnstone at McDiarmid Park.
It was a shock for fans to see Schmeichel back following a six-week injury diagnosis which Brendan Rodgers revealed may end earlier than initially expected.
The international break was tough for Celtic’s player who was injured on Denmark duty and then slaughtered by a disrespectful journalist for his performance vs Portugal.

The PFA stepped in to defend Schmeichel and demand an apology while Paulo Bernardo said his pal deserved more respect.
And now a TV presenter in his home country has stood behind the stopper in a principled stand and refused to do an interview with the newspaper in question as he insisted it was “disrespectful” to the country’s great goalkeeper.
“I’m not talking to Ekstra Bladet,” said Morten Ankerdal when asked for a chat.
“I don’t want to talk to a newspaper that thinks it’s okay to write like that about another person.
“I just think it’s so disrespectful. I can’t understand how anyone can think it’s okay to start dragging in polio-affected children and writing that people are chatty and things like that.
“Then I just say, ‘No thanks.’
Columnist’s abuse was inexplicably defended by newspaper editor
The journo who caused the stir was columnist Anders Olsen who branded Schmeichel overweight and claimed the 38-year-old was at fault for more than one Portugal goal as his side lost 5-2.
And his editor of Ekstra Bladet, Knud Brix, somehow chose to come out and double down by saying: “I agree that there may be some who are offended by this but our writer has chosen to use these words.
“I stand by that, and I think it is within the bounds of what an article should be.”
It came as Schmeichel was hit from all angles during the break.
