Jorgen Strand Larsen has also called Andre ‘amazing’, suggesting how highly valued he is among his teammates and why it was a steal landing him for just £21 million.
That is because several clubs, including Liverpool, have wanted to sign Andre previously and the 23-year-old has now revealed that Fulham were also ‘close’ to capturing him.
In an interview with the Telegraph, Andre said: “Fulham wanted to sign me over three transfer windows. It was close at one point but never materialised.
“I always felt that Wolves was the most likely one to happen. It meant a lot that they really wanted me for a while. It was not a shot in the dark to see if it works. They knew everything about me.”
The Brazilian international was always drawn by the lure of Wolves, and ahead of next season, Vitor Pereira must mould his squad around him.

That is currently happening with Cunha, who will leave Wolves in the summer, and they will find it difficult to hold onto their midfield superstar.
Andre is one of the best defensive midfielders in the league and has the potential to become world-class, as long as he continues on his current trajectory.
Indeed, the natural step up for him in the future is leaving Molineux and playing for a club in the Champions League. But, fans will be hoping he stays for at least another couple of seasons first.
