Danny Rohl confirm Shock Ranger star exit in a shock move

The future of Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin has become a source of significant anxiety at Ibrox, with the Belgian star’s camp leaving his long-term commitment in doubt, a move that has shocked the whole of Ibrox. While new manager Danny Röhl views Raskin as a key player in his revival plan, the player’s family has confirmed the initial idea is to stay, but the lack of an iron-clad commitment beyond the current season has fueled transfer speculation.
Reports suggest the 24-year-old is the subject of serious interest from clubs in the Premier League, including Tottenham Hotspur, and the Turkish Super League. Though Raskin’s father, Thierry, has provided an update, it offers little long-term comfort to the Rangers faithful.
”The initial idea is not to leave, especially with a new coach [Danny Röhl], who wants to rebuild something beautiful,” Thierry Raskin stated. He added that the player’s focus is on the current season which will end with a World Cup, requiring “serious consideration.”
This statement, however, failed to guarantee Raskin’s presence beyond the January transfer window or next summer, exposing the club to further speculation. The ambiguity comes despite Röhl reportedly seeing Raskin as one of the players to build the team around, particularly after the midfielder had been “bombed out” by former manager Russell Martin before being reintegrated.
For the Ibrox support, who have seen key players depart before, the non-committal stance is a major worry. While Rangers are under no immediate pressure to sell, with Raskin under contract until June 2027, reports suggest the club might entertain a “big money” bid in the region of £18 million to £20 million. The prevailing mood is one of tension: can Röhl’s influence and the desire for a “beautiful rebuild” convince the Belgian to commit his future long-term, or will the lure of an exit prove too strong?
