NafisaTroy Parrott has seen his name in lights over recent days for his heroics with the Republic of Ireland international side, which Everton have been paying close attention to.
Heading into January, David Moyes is assessing his options after an underwhelming start to the campaign from Thierno Barry and Beto.
Everton News understands that Everton are keen to add another striker in January to ease the burden on the current options.
However, that is going to require Everton to do something they have not done in a long time and scout a striker who can hit the ground running in the Premier League.
Last week, Everton News shared that Everton scouts have been watching Parrott all season for both AZ Alkmaar and his national side.
Following a stunning week for the 23-year-old striker, Parrott has now spoken out on his time in the Netherlands with AZ.

Parrott scored a stunning hat trick at the weekend to send Ireland to the Play-Off stages as they aim to book their spot at next summer’s World Cup.
The 23-year-old scored all five of Ireland’s goals across the two games in the final international break of the year.
Speaking to BBC Sport, the Irishman has shared exactly how his move to AZ has helped him develop after finally deciding to leave Tottenham Hotspur.
“I’ve had to take risks in moving to different places. I’ve failed, got back up. Failed again and then got back up. Who is to say I’m not going to fail again?” he said.

“I feel the tough road I have had definitely played a part in last night. Moving to the Netherlands gave me a sense of being wanted, I felt appreciated and sometimes for a player that’s all they need.
Is Troy Parrott the perfect January signing for Everton?
“I know playing in England didn’t go so well and believe me I really beat myself about it at the time.
“So when it came to thinking about moving away, I thought: ‘What is the worst that can happen?’
“And I really love it, I feel appreciated, I feel out of the spotlight which I never had for a few years.”
Seamus Coleman is a big fan of Parrott having played alongside the young striker a number of times for their national side.
However, a potential return to the Premier League could offer a major gamble for the former Spurs forward at this stage in his career.

Parrott will face risk of returning to England
Everton News columnist Alan Myers fully expects Everton to eye a new striker in January, with goals coming at a real premium this season.
It could be a big ask for Parrott to make a return to England at the midway stage of what is turning out to be an extremely successful campaign for both club and country.
Parrott was not exactly given a chance during his time in north London, but leaving a strong season in the Netherlands behind – when Ireland may qualify for the World Cup – will pose a big risk.
The 23-year-old is scoring for fun in the Eredivisie, where his confidence is clearly soaring as he represents his national side.
That confidence could take a real hit if he was to return to England and not hit the ground running.
Everton still have confidence in Barry to reach his potential, but the Frenchman’s early showings may prove a warning to Parrott.
