Everton will need to sell at least one of their “big” stars before 30 June as they look to balance the books, sources have told Football Insider.

Speaking on the latest edition of Football Insider’s Inside Track podcast, senior correspondent Pete O’Rourke revealed there will be clubs interested in Jarrad Branthwaite, Amadou Onana, Jordan Pickford, Dwight McNeil and James Garner once the transfer window reopens.

Everton have been deducted eight points in total this season after being found guilty of two separate profit and sustainability (PSR) breaches.

Football Insider revealed on 19 May the Toffees are at “huge” risk of receiving yet another points deduction next season due to concerns around their financial situation.

O’Rourke admitted selling one of their star players before the club submit their accounts at the end of June could go a long way towards easing their problems at Goodison Park.

O’Rourke revealed there will be sides currently monitoring the financial situation at Everton ahead of potentially making a move to sign some of their stars this summer.

Branthwaite and Onana are the players most likely to receive the most attention after attracting interest from several top clubs in recent months.

Football Insider revealed on 17 May the club are likely to accept bids of more than £50million for Onana to help ease their financial concerns.
