Chelsea are preparing for life under a new head coach this summer with Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca set to take over at Stamford Bridge.
After the rather controversial decision to remove Mauricio Pochettino from the Chelsea managerial role, Todd Boehly, and the club’s top brass, went to work identifying replacements.
One name was Kieran McKenna but the Northern Irish manager was a target for Brighton & Hove Albion. HITC have reported that McKenna is now expected to extend his stay at Ipswich Town.
Chelsea have now made their move for Leicester City boss Enzo Maresca, who guided the Foxes back to the Premier League. HITC understands that the deal is close to being completed for the Argentine.

”Maresca a big risk for Chelsea Since Clearlake Capital purchased Chelsea back in 2022, they have seemingly been keen on going with a young and exciting coach, who can grow with the team.
Graham Potter’s spell was a disaster. Pochettino’s spell at Stamford Bridge was certainly a struggle at the start but, towards the end of the Argentine’s spell in West London, he excelled.
If Chelsea are to appoint Maresca, being patient with the 44-year-old, who will be in just his second managerial role, will be key. They have to give the Argentine time to implement his ideas on a young and fearless Chelsea team.
