West Ham United can boast about a not so hidden gem in their ranks, according to the CIES latest player valuation list.

The recently released list of the 100 most valuable footballers surprisingly excludes Jarrod Bowen, a player West Ham would likely value at over £100 million if they were to consider selling him.

However, the list does feature another West Ham player, Mohammed Kudus, and his valuation is quite impressive. Kudus finds himself ranked fairly high with a valuation of €89.6 million (roughly £76 million).

This valuation places Kudus ahead of established names like Victor Osimhen, who is constantly linked with top clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal. Osimhen’s valuation sits at €85.6 million (£73 million). This highlights the success of West Ham’s acquisition of Kudus, a signing credited to technical director Tim Steidten.

Kudus’ impact seems to be undeniable. Signing a contract with West Ham until 2028, gives the club a strong position should his impressive form attract interest from other teams.

While West Ham possesses some exceptional talent, the upcoming summer transfer window will be crucial in ensuring a well-balanced squad. Despite the individual brilliance of some of our players, the team still requires adjustments to fully support new manager Julen Lopetegui’s vision.

That is why a proactive and successful transfer window will be so important to us.
