NafisaCrystal Palace are setting their sights on a number of potential replacements for Oliver Glasner amid ongoing doubts about his future at Selhurst Park.
That is according to former Man United and Blackburn chief scout Mick Brown, who remains very well-connected within the game, as he exclusively told Football Insider that Strasbourg boss Liam Rosenior is high on the Eagles’ list of targets.
Rosenior, who was compared to former Palace boss Roy Hodgson after taking a step away from English football to prove himself in Europe, is now firmly on their list.
The 41-year-old impressed during his time at Hull City, where he is still highly regarded among the staff and fans despite disagreements with the board.
This comes after Brown told Football Insider that Crystal Palace are preparing for Glasner to leave at the end of the season, with his exit now looking more likely.
Crystal Palace set sights on Liam Rosenior
Brown told Football Insider on 28 December that Chelsea are keen on Rosenior, who is a target should Enzo Maresca leave, thanks to his relationship with BlueCo.
The former scout, who has a wealth of experience working closely alongside top-level managers including Sir Alex Ferguson for over a decade at Man United, insisted the Strasbourg boss has emerged as a leading contender for a return to the Premier League.

“Liam Rosenior is going to be a contender for any job, and I think he deserves it,” he told Football Insider.
“He’s a young, English coach who has come through, done his badges, fostered a very relationship with Hull, my former club, so I know he was thought of very highly.
“It’s a shame the owners at Hull didn’t see it the same way as the staff and fans did, but since then he’s gone out to France and made a real name for himself.
“He’s earned a very strong reputation, a bit like Roy Hodgson did years ago when he went off to Sweden to establish himself before coming back to England.
“Everybody I speak to about Rosenior rates him very highly.
“For Palace, they’re perparing to lose Glasner and looking at a few managers in case that happens, so I expect he is somebody on their list.
“Like I’ve said, he’s doing everything the right way and setting himself up to be a successful manager, so a move to Palace might make a lot of sense.”
Update on Oliver Glasner’s future at Crystal Palace
Football Insider revealed in September that Palace will do everything in their power to keep Glasner at Selhurst Park despite reports of tension behind the scenes.
The boss’ current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and while Palace hope to extend Glasner‘s deal, they are ready for any eventuality.
This comes after reports linked Palace with Getafe manager Jose Bordalas, although despite the claims, the Austrian has yet to make a decision about his future.
Brown told Football Insider last month that Crystal Palace will back Glasner in January as they are aware they left him frustrated with their slow summer window.
However, it may be too little too late for the Eagles as the boss has made his frustrations clear about the lack of depth and the club’s failure to back him.
