Bryan King claims Everton “have won the lottery” after agreeing a club-record kit deal at Goodison Park.

The ex-Goodison scout has offered praise to those behind the scenes who worked to get a new long-term partnership with Castore across the line.

As reported by the Telegraph (14 June), the new kit deal at Goodison Park is worth more than £20million-per-season.

And King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes this is a timely boost ahead of a potential takeover.

“It seems as though Everton have won the lottery with this deal,” King said.

“A big congratulations therefore has to be offered to the commercial team at the club for bringing in this kind of money.

I am sure this will act as a little boost during takeover proceedings.”

Everton supporters can begin to look toward a brighter future at Goodison Park
After months of misery, there have finally been some positive updates from Goodison Park.

A takeover now looks closer to completion, with iNews reporting (18 June) that the Friedkin Group – owned and run by Dan Friedkin – are on track to purchase Everton.

And this new record-breaking kit deal will come as a huge financial boost for the club at a time when it is so desperately needed.

It means supporters can finally start to look toward a positive future, with a new stadium to look forward to as well.

Ahead of what will be their final season at Goodison Park, fans will want to end their time at the historic ground on a high, and it looks as if the club might be well-positioned to do just that.
