Atalanta have set their sights on Everton striker Beto as the ideal replacement for Gianluca Scamacca, according to Tutto Atalanta.
The Italian website reported on Monday, 5 August, that Atalanta are keen to engage with Everton once more following their acquisition of Ben Godfrey in June. They are prepared to table a proposal worth £17 million for the Portuguese forward.
Gian Piero Gasperini views Beto as the perfect candidate to fill the void left by Scamacca, who is sidelined for the entire 2024/25 season due to injury. With a Champions League campaign on the horizon following their Europa League triumph, Atalanta’s need for a competent replacement is urgent.

Beto arrived at Goodison Park last season amidst high expectations, having netted 22 goals in 65 Serie A appearances for Udinese. However, his transition to the Premier League has been challenging. The 26-year-old managed only three goals in 30 league appearances, with just 10 starts.
