Fenerbahce striker Youssef En-Nesyri’s preference is to join Everton in January over rival clubs, according to Sky Sports News.
The Toffees are in the market for a new centre-forward this month after seeing summer signing Thierno Barry and experienced striker Beto struggle for goals this season, netting just five between them in the Premier League so far.
GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano reported on Wednesday morning that a formal offer had been made for the Moroccan forward, and it has now emerged that despite rival interest from Nottingham Forest, a move to Merseyside appeals to him should he move on this month.
En-Nesyri Keen on Everton Move in January

En-Nesyri, who netted 30 goals for Fenerbahce last season and has been described as ‘incredible’, has once again emerged as a target for manager David Moyes this month, after several attempts to bring him to England during his time at West Ham.
Sean Dyche’s side have also been attributed with an interest for this month, but it has now been revealed by Sky Sports News that the 30-year-old would prefer a move to the Hill Dickinson Stadium if he left Fenerbahce, although any deal is some way off being completed currently.
“Youssef En-Nesyri, I’m sure that that will ring a bell, Nottingham Forest and Everton both interested in the striker, he plays for Fenerbache. He’s actually on the bench tonight for Morocco against Nigeria in the AFCON semifinals,” he said.
“Sky Germany are reporting that his preference is Everton. Now there is a bit of a connection here, because En-Nesyri was linked heavily in the past with West Ham United. They’ve tried to sign him on a number of occasions. They made bids with the various clubs that he’s been at, but never actually managed to get it over the line. And the connection is that at the time when they were interested, who was the manager at West Ham United? It was David Moyes.
“Now Everton, of course, managed by David Moyes, and they are interested in En-Nesyri. So Sky Germany says that his preference is Everton.
“A long way to go before do able to get this deal done, because they still have to get an agreement with the club, but forrest and Everton look like they fighting out to try and sign him.”
En-Nesyri The Perfect Moyes Striker

Everton have been struggling to score goals consistently all season, and a new striker who knows how to find the back of the net could be game-changing for them.
Barry is clearly talented and was brought in to be a long-term option for the Blues, but Beto has had his chance at the club and failed to take it. It would not be a surprise at all to see En-Nesyri brought in and Beto moved on, and it would benefit the squad if the Friedkin Group were able to get that business done.
There’s a reason that Moyes has been chasing the Morocco international for years, and he would be the perfect upgrade for this side to push them up the table.![]()
