Fans were under no illusions about this, with the jury very much still out on manager Sean Dyche despite his successes last season, but with just over a week before Deadline Day, fears that their business is concluded seem very real.

Well, just to get another body through those Goodison Park doors before Deadline Day would be a welcome sight for Evertonians after the diabolical opening day they previously endured.
Especially given the two big fears that fans justifiably have now going into Saturday’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur, which includes their midfield and at right-back.

Ebimbe would improve Everton tenfold, and should the fee be anything near to the £6m that Frankfurt had to pay last summer to sign him, this would be an almighty bargain.
