Leeds United are set to complete their sixth summer signing in the form of Manor Solomon on Sunday but one player they have been linked with scored two goals, and created two more on Saturday.

Solomon, 25, is set to join Leeds on loan from Tottenham as Daniel Farke’s side bring in replacements for Crysencio Summerville and Georginio Rutter. Largie Ramazani and Solomon are set to come in at Leeds.

Last season, Farke had Summerville, Rutter, Dan James, Wilfried Gnonto and Jaidon Anthony to choose from. This time around, he has Brenden Aaronson, Solomon, Ramazani, Gnonto and James in attack.

Whether Farke wants to bring in another remains to be seen in the final few days of the window is an unknown, but it is likely that Leeds go after a midfielder and a full-back before the August 30 deadline.

Rabbi Matondo shines for Rangers on Saturday after Leeds links
One player linked with a move to Leeds is Rabbi Matondo. Described as “incredibly fast”, the £2.5m Rangers man has been a rotational option during his two seasons at Rangers after joining in 2022.

A former Manchester City player, Wales star Matondo joined Schalke from Pep Guardiola’s side but struggled in Germany. He joined Rangers two years ago, since having had a hand in 20 goals in 64.

On Saturday, Rangers won 6-0 at Ibrox against Ross County a couple of weeks after Matondo had been linked with Leeds. The Wales star scored two goals and laid on two assists for Philippe Clement’s side.

Do Leeds need any more additions out wide after Solomon?
This summer, Leeds have lost Rutter, Summerville, Poveda and Anthony. But they have brought in Aaronson, Ramazani and Solomon with Poveda struggling for game time and leaving Leeds on loan.

Right now, Leeds are well-stocked in the final third again and focus will turn to bringing in other players before the deadline. But without doubt, Leeds should keep tabs on Matondo ahead of a future move.

Matondo looks set for a move to Blackburn this summer, even if he did play on the weekend. A solid spell at John Eustace’s side could tempt Leeds further to make a move for Matondo in the future.
